My mission is simple...to familiarize people with the part of my city I refer to as “My Beat”, which includes everything from about U-Village west to 8th NW and from the ship canal North to around 130th.  I may get into Ballard a little, but I spent so much time there in the bad years that it is not a pleasant place for m anymore...especially after the Yuppie invasion of the ‘90’s.

 

For tourists, I will try to both inform and warn you. Chances are you chose your time for a visit wisely and the weather is, or will be, half way decent. This lulls many into a false

The Heart of Seattle

belief that it is always that way, they move here, and then jump off the Aurora Bridge (pictured below) after eight months of unrelenting, colorless grey.

 

Little Spoken of Fact: In addition to being one of the music capitols of the U.S., Seattle is also number one in suicide rates. That usually does not show up on the procures.
